When will payment for my stay be processed?
Yes, all houses except for Kookaburra Haven have their own private hot tub. Depending on the house they are either outside overlooking the peaceful surrounds or situated inside the house to enjoy in your own privacy.
Clarendon Forest Retreat is a 100-acre private sanctuary located in Possum Brush on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. We are approximately a 3-hour drive north of Sydney and 25 minutes from some of the best beaches on the Mid North Coast.
Check-in is available from 2:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. We have lockboxes for the key on arrival, you will receive a message on the morning of check-in with the directions and code to the lockbox. You are welcome to use the lockbox to check-in anytime after 2:00 PM as it is all a contact free check-in process and you are not required to attend an office for check-in.
To encourage a true “off-the-grid” experience, we provide a peaceful environment surrounded by nature; however, we understand the need to stay connected. Free Wi-Fi is available in all the cottages with smart TV’s.
Mobile reception can vary depending on your provider, Optus has the best coverage across the retreat with Telstra having coverage but mobile data will be more hit and miss depending on which part of the property you are on.
Yes. Privacy is our hallmark. Each of our luxury cottages is strategically positioned across our 100-acre property to ensure you have space from your neighbours, allowing for a completely secluded forest experience. Each booking is for the entire cottage which are set on its own 3 – 7 acres depending on the cottage.
Yes! We are proud to be one of the premier dog-friendly retreats in NSW. We offer specific pet-friendly luxury cottages to ensure your four-legged family members can enjoy the holiday with you. Please note, Blue Wren offers outside pets only with a secured fenced yard and Kookaburra Haven is not pet friendly. All other cottages welcome pets inside.
All linen, towels, and basic kitchen essentials (tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt & pepper, cling wrap, alfoil, baking paper, dishwashing liquid and tablets and washing powder) are provided. Our cottages feature fully equipped kitchens and BBQ facilities. We recommend bringing your favourite groceries, as the nearest large supermarkets are in Tuncurry or Taree approximately 25 minutes away. There is a small supermarket, butcher and bakery in Nabiac approximately 15 minutes away.
Woolworths home shop do delivery to Clarendon Forest Retreat if you would like to arrange a delivery direct to your cottage.
We understand plans can change. For direct bookings cancellations made more than 7 days prior outside of NSW school holidays and 14 days during NSW school holidays will receive a full refund. For cancellations within these times, please refer to our full Terms and Conditions on the booking page or contact us directly to discuss your options.
For bookings made through third party providers such as Airbnb or Booking.com please refer to their terms and conditions for cancellations.
Yes, we welcome elopements. All catering and venue facilities outside of the cottages must be organised separately as we are unable to provide these. Please contact us to discuss options and pricing.
There is no payment taken at the time of booking. Your credit card will be processed either 7 days prior to your stay for bookings outside of NSW school holidays or 14 days prior for bookings in NSW school holidays for the full payment amount.
You will receive an email with bank details three days prior to your credit card being charged with bank details if you prefer to pay by bank transfer to avoid the credit card surcharge.
For bookings of multiple houses full payment is required 30 days prior to your stay.
